CWI narrows list of candidates for head coach position

CWI vice-president Dr. Kishore Shallow

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has shortlisted six candidates for the post of West Indies men’s head coach.

The regional governing body said Friday it had received 34 applications for the post by the stated September 20 deadline. CWI said it had whittled down the list to 11 before arriving at the current shortlist on September 24.

CWI vice-president Dr Kishore Shallow, who also serves as chairman of the Human Resources Committee, will join director of cricket, Jimmy Adams, in conducting the next round of interviews on October 1 to determine the last three candidates.

The final interview to determine CWI’s choice will be held on October 11.

Floyd Reifer is currently interim head coach.
