Rasheed Dwyer failed to move into the final of the men’s 200 metres at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar on Monday (Sept 30) as he finished Heat One of the semi-finals fifth.
Dwyer got a fairly good start but faded as the athletes came into the homestretch and struggled as he tried to maintain pace with the front runners. He continued to fade as the line approached.
Dwyer clocked 20.54 seconds with the race being won by Adam Gemili of Great Britain who did 20.03. Ramil Guliyev of Turkey was second in 20.16. Aaron Brown of Canada ended third in 20.20.
