Jamaica’s 200 metres Olympic Games champion, Elaine Thompson withdrew from event at the World Championships in Doha Qatar on Tuesday.
Thompson, who has struggled through the rounds in both the 100 metres and 200 metres, was pulled from the race in the semi-finals as she failed to register for the event.
Thompson finished fourth in the women’s 100 metres on Sunday, which was won by compatriot and MVP Track Club teammate Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.
In the heats of the 200 metres, she looked sluggish and finished second in her heat.
Thompson, it is understood, is suffering from an Achilles issue.
