Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was in impeccable form at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar, Saturday morning, as she ran the fourth fastest time of the year to win Heat One in 10.80 seconds.

With her usual rocket-like start, Fraser-Pryce, running in lane eight of nine, was out the blocks quickly and immediately took up a position at the top of the field and stormed to an easy victory, despite easing down at approximately 80 metres.

Fraser-Pryce finished ahead of Murielle Ahoure of Ivory Coast, who did a season best of 11.05, with Gina Luckenkemper of Germany ending third with 11.29 seconds.

The three will automatically qualify for the semi-finals of the event.
