#Doha2019: Grenada’s Anderson Peters wins men’s javelin

Grenada’s Anderson Peters won the men’s javelin at the World hampionships in Doha, Qatar on Sunday.

Peters put pressure on the field from the opening throw but had his best effort with his fourth attempt as he did 86.89 metres to finish ahead of Magnus Kirt of Estonia, who did 86.21 on his second attempt, with Johannes Vetter of Germany third with 85.37 on his second attempt.

He is the he second athlete in history to win a gold medal for the “Spice Island”, Grenada, at the World Championships.
