Jamaica’s Ronald Levy and Orlando Bennett will not face the starter for the final of the men’s 110 metres hurdles at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar later today (Wed, Oct 2) as they crashed out in the semi-finals.
Levy crashed into the final hurdle while Bennett got a slow start and never challenged for a spot with both running in Heat One of the semi-finals.
The event was won by Grant Holloway of the United States of America, who led from start to finish to win in 13.10, with Sergey Subenkov running unattached finishing second in 13.18 and Dimitri Bascou of France third in 13.48.
Only the top two athletes automatically move into the final.
Bennett was sixth in 13.60 seconds, the same time as Levy who was seventh.
