#Doha2019: Ricketts wins silver for Jamaica in women’s triple jump as Williams ends fourth

Jamaica’s Shanieka Ricketts won the silver medal in the women’s triple jump at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday, as teammate Kimberly Williams finished fourth.

Ricketts achieved a mark of 14.92 metres on her third attempt, but was denied the gold by Yulimar Rojas of Venezuela, who successfully defended her title with a leap of 15.37 on her second attempt.

Olympic Games champion Catherine Ibarguen finished third with a jump of 14.73 metres to deny Williams the bronze medal.
