#Doha2019: Williams strolls into women’s 100m hurdles semis

It was an easy stroll for Danielle Williams, Jamaica’s favourite for the women’s 100 metres hurdles at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar, winning preliminary round Heat Three with an impressive time.

Williams got an excellent start and maintained her form and just did enough to win in 12.51 seconds to finish ahead of Andrea Vargas of Costa Rica, who did a national record of 12.68 seconds.

Third went to Annimari Korte of Finland, who clocked 12.97 seconds with the fourth and final automatic qualifying spot for the semi-finals going to Luca Kozak of Hungary.
