Prime Minister Andrew Holness is praising the country’s dominance in traditional and non-traditional sporting activities following a courtesy visit from motorsport champion Fraser McConnell.
McConnell and his family made the courtesy call on the PM on Tuesday.
“Jamaica can be a factory for excellence, not just in track and field, but in areas we would not even think we would succeed in, such as Ice hockey, lacrosse, or even motorsport,” Holness posted on Instagram on Wednesday.
Holness added: “Yesterday afternoon I was paid a courtesy call from 2019 ARX2 RallyCross champion, Fraser McConnell, at my offices. His passion and determination is truly an inspiring one.
“I hope his achievements will uplift other young people to manifest their dreams and never give up on what they truly want to achieve in life. I am positive that Fraser will continue to excel in the sport.”
