Gold rush! Australian company strikes it rich in Guyana

As much of the world reels from the coronavirus, Guyana is currently basking in its latest gold find; half million ounces of it, no less!

The Australian-based company, Alicanto Minerals made the disclosure today, saying it found the mineral in the Arakaka gold mine located in Region One.

The company’s managing director, Peter George, said the 500,000-ounce maiden find is the start of its growing inventory.

Just days ago, Troy Resources, another Australian mining company, said that it had also found gold deposits underground, which it calculated to be about 15 grammes per tonne of milled ore. Or to the average man, MONEY!
