Tivoli Gardens head coach Phillip Williams believes the Former champions can make the Red Stripe Premier League.
“We have high ambition of even making the playoff. That is the number one objective right not. Six points is not far off. It’s not difficult. We just need to do what we do on our end which is to put together a good run and before you look we are in a better position than where we are right now,” Williams told BUZZ.
His comment came after his teams whipped fierce rivals Arnett Gardens 3-1 on Monday (Nov 25). It was only the third win for the struggling Tivoli Gardens as they avenged a 0-1 defeat to Arnett Gardens on September 8. They remained in 11th spot with 12 points.
Tivoli Gardens went into the “Jungle” and turned in a workman-like display in beating the in-form home team Arnett Gardens in what must be their best display of the season.
‘We have been playing good all season despite the position that we are in.’— TG Coach Phillip Williams
“It was a good game by the team. We have been playing good all season despite the position that we are in the results that we are having. Last night was us really converting our chances which were lacking in the other games leading up to that and hence the results. But it’s definitely a good feeling in terms of getting a win over our arch-rivals Arnett Gardens and hopefully it will serve as a platform for us to put some good wins together and see if we can move up the table,” he added.
