Jamaica records 335 COVID cases; 6 deaths

Jamaica has recorded 335 coronavirus cases to surpass 36,000 over the past 24 hours.

The island’s total stands at 36,231 with deaths climbing to 542 after six more fatalities were reported.

The new cases include 197 females and 138 males with ages ranging from a year to 103 years.

Among the deceased are an 83-year-old female from Westmoreland; a 64-year-old male from St Catherine; a 68-year-old male from St Elizabeth; a 77-year-old female from St Ann; a 68-year-old male from St James and a 92-year-old female from St Ann.

There were also 181 additional recoveries, for a total of 16,490 whole active cases increased to 18,947.

Hospitalisations moved to 433 with 72 patients listed as moderately ill and 40 being critically ill.
