Opposition Leader, Dr Peter Phillips is calling on Prime Minister Andrew Holness to remove the Ministry of Agriculture from the portfolio of Audley Shaw.
Phillips also wants Minister without Portfolio, JC Hutchinson, who has direct responsibility for agriculture, to be replaced and the dismissal of the board at the Rural Agriculture Development Authority (RADA).
According to Phillips, who was speaking at a press conference at the PNPYO’s headquarters on Old Hope Road, St Andrew Tuesday, the removal of Shaw and Hutchinson would facilitate the probe into alleged corruption at RADA.
Phillips said the PNP conducted investigations, which unearthed wrongdoings at RADA including the issuance of $1.6b worth of de-bushing contracts in St Thomas, during the 2017-2018 financial year.
He called on the office of the Auditor-General to probe deeper into the allegations of corruption at RADA.
