A crocodile was found in a gully that is heavily used as a shortcut used by pedestrians going between Four East and Gore Tuca in Greater Portmore St Catherine.
Passersby spotted the animal, estimated at around nine to 12 feet in length, on their way from work Wednesday (Oct 3).
The animal was captured by residents and the police.
That area of Portmore has been experiencing heavy rainfall over the last week and a half, which filed a once-dried stream in the vicinity of the shortcut. This attracted a variety of aquatic animals such as frogs, egrets, a variety of fish and crocodile.
