Let it snow…in Jamaica? Coca-Cola brings joy with Christmas Truck Tour

International beverage brand Coca-Cola is sharing the spirit of Christmas with Jamaican consumers through its global Christmas Truck Tour. The iconic tour has been executed in over 100 countries across the globe and comes to Jamaica for the first time to visit 11 locations across the island through to December 14.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour which commenced on November 15, features a double-deck customised caravan truck granting onlookers a panoramic display of an authentic Santa’s village with white Christmas trees equipped with Coca-Cola décor, the Coca-Cola Santa, Mrs Claus and Santa’s helpers, complemented by delicate bursts of ‘snow’ along the route.

The majestic display also features music, dancers and loads of prizes for audiences and persons who opt to enter Santa’s Village for a photo with Santa and a gift from the Coca-Cola North Pole.

Brand Manager of Coca-Cola Jamaica, Amoye Phillpotts-Brown explained that “The theme of the tour, “What We Share is Stronger”, speaks to the meaning of a Coca-Cola Christmas. No matter our background what we all share together makes us stronger.”

Coca-Cola has made the experience easily attainable for persons to enter Santa’s Village. Persons are eligible to enter with the purchase of six 591ml Coca-Cola products. “Our goal is to share the spirit of Christmas with as many Jamaicans as possible. The easy access process allows us to touch a wide cross-section of Jamaicans while maintaining order on the tour.

It’s a very heart-warming feeling as the truck tour approaches each town and city centre. With our signature Christmas jingle, Santa his elves and faux snow from the truck, it gives onlookers a very magical feeling. Adults and children stand and stare in awe, making it a one of kind experience,” said the Coca-Cola Jamaica Brand Manager.

Among the engaging activities carried out by personalities such as Christopher ‘Johnny’ Daley and Dufton Shepherd are a Christmas Carol Remix, Coca-Cola Cup Pong, Guess That Jamaican Christmas Song, Coca-Cola Drinking, Hula Hoop and Dance Competitions. Among the prizes are signature Coca- Cola glasses, collectible tumblers, tote bags and earbuds.

Towns that have already experienced the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour in November are Falmouth (15th), Mandeville (16th), Downtown Kingston (22nd) and Ocho Rios (23rd). Portmore (29th) and Negril (30th).

The tour then continues in December to Santa Cruz (6th), Spanish Town (7th), May Pen (12th), St Thomas (13th) and returns to Kingston in Half Way Tree on Friday, December 14th to close the extraordinary experience.
