More than 60% of Cayman’s population vaccinated

More than 80,000 doses of the Pfizer-Biontech COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Cayman Islands.

The latest figures released by health officials on the island, means that at least 60 percent of the population has received at least one dose of the vaccine.

 Health officials in recent weeks have been ramping up calls for residents, to take the jab with the latest batch, 281 persons, having been vaccinated on Thursday.

43,235 people or 67% of the estimated population have had at least one dose, while 37,885 (57%) residents have had both doses.
