Former Prime Minister PJ Patterson has been discharged from hospital following surgery to correct injuries he received during a car accident at his Norbook, St Andrew home on Monday, October 14.
In a release on Monday (Oct 21) a Patterson aide, Alston Stewart, said Patterson is now resting at home. “The medical team is satisfied at his progress and believes he can now continue his recuperation at home,” Stewart said.
Patterson has thanked the medical team which attended to him during his weeklong hospitalisation. “Their professionalism and skill were simply amazing,” he said. He also thanked all well-wishers and supporters for their concern.
Patterson received injuries to one of his knees and his hip. He underwent a surgical operation at the Tony Thwaites Wing of the University Hospital of the West Indies on Wednesday, October 16 to repair the injured hip.
