Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness has donated $1 million to the Bustamante Hospital for Children.
Holness announced the donation during a tour of the facility on Monday (Dec. 23) when he also distributed toys to the children admitted to the facility.
The money was given through Holness’ Positive Jamaica Foundation and will be used to purchase monitors for the hospital.
Bustamante is the latest recipient of donations given out by the Positive Jamaica Foundation.
Before this, donations were made to the University of the West Indies and the University of Technology. Each institution got $1m from the charity, which last Christmas contributed $1.5m to the Mustard Seed Communities.
