The public session of the People’s National Party’s annual conference is now in full swing.

Party president Dr Peter Phillips took the stage at 2 p.m. to much fanfare from those in attendance.

“The way of the ungodly shall perish,” Phillips said as he began his speech.

Former party leader PJ Patterson is among the stalwarts at the conference.

The National Arena in St Andrew is packed to capacity, but Peter Bunting is noticeably absent from the stage although he is at the conference.

According to the PNP secretariat, Bunting refused to speak after he was given an opportunity to do so. BUZZ is unable to confirm the reason behind his decision not to take the stage.
