Police seize cocaine in Easter buns headed for the US

The police have seized a quantity of cocaine hidden among Easter buns and cheese at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston on Tuesday.

Reports are that about 2:43 pm, lawmen were doing their routine checks when they found six boxes of Easter buns wrapped in transparent bags and three plastic containers of cheese.

Deeper inspection by officers from the Narcotics Police Division revealed that the package of Easter treats destined for the United States contained cocaine.

No one has been arrested in relation to the seizure.

The mater is being investigated by the narcotics police.
