Rudyard Spencer to quit as MP to become a diplomat

Rudyard ‘Ruddy’ Spencer is said to be stepping down as MP for South East Clarendon.

Government Minister Rudyard Spencer is quitting his post as Member of Parliament for South East Clarendon to become part of the diplomatic core in Germany.

While details are scarce, the long time Jamaica Labour Party MP is set to leave the seat by the end of the week effectively paving the way for a by-election.

The names being touted to replace Spencer include government Senators Robert Morgan and Pearnel Charles Junior.
