SLFS shares condolences following the passing of Vieux Fort fireman

The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) on Monday (March 9) expressed condolences following a tragic accident that claimed the life of one of their members.

42-year-old Fitz Andre Charlery of the Vieux Fort Fire Station died following a collision which took place at a around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020.

It is believed that Charlery died as a result of injuries he sustained in the crash, as his body was found meters away from his motorcycle.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Saint Lucia Fire Service extends our condolences to the family of Leading Firefighter 397 Charlery on his tragic passing. Our support, thought and prayers are with you in this difficult moment,” said the SLFS.

“We also extend our support and condolences to the officers at the Vieux Fort Fire Station, where he was stationed, and all our members at the Saint Lucia Fire Service,” added the organization.
