Some businesses are now opting to have their staff work from home, as the Government announced today that all schools are to be closed for the next two weeks.
At the same time, some employers have given mothers the option of working from home to stay with their children.
The development comes a day after the island recorded its second case of COVID-19/coronavirus since Sunday.
At a press conference at Jamaica House today, Prime Minister Andrew Holness said the decision to close schools will be reviewed after 10 days.
“In other words we will update the public after 10 (days) whether or not it will be extended,” he noted.
