Guadeloupe has now crossed the epidemic threshold in the COVID-19 outbreak with 45 confirmed cases.
Forty cases per 100,000 people is the epidemic threshold.
The Center for Disease Control defines an epidemic as an increase, often sudden, in the number of cases of a disease above what is normally expected in that population.
Guadeloupe’s latest figures were released by the Agence Régionale de
Santé (Thursday). The French territory saw an additional 12 more positive cases over that which was reported on Wednesday.
