ST CATHERINE LOCKDOWN! Surge in corona cases forces safety measure

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced that there will be a seven-day lockdown of the parish St Catherine.

The measure will start at 5am on Wednesday (April 15) and will end at 5am on Wednesday, April 22.

The lockdown is intended to slow and contain the spread of COVID-19 in the parish.

The decision was taken after 32 new cases were confirmed in the parish. The majority of the new cases are from the Alorica call centre which has over 700 employees.
