Two years after going into liquidation, toy retailer Toys R Us is trying to get back on its feet.
This new era comes with the former Toys R Us trademarks and properties being organised under a new company – Tru Kids Brands. Under this new iteration, the company will be back in a “completely new and reimagined way”, according to Tru Kids Brands CEO, Richard Barry.
With two stores set to be opened in time for the impending holiday season, customers in New Jersey and Houston will be able to get their hands on the latest toys and accessories at the world-famous store.
The business, which is aimed at kids, is expected to reopen its first store this Saturday and the second in early December with at least ten more across the United States in 2020.
Other companies have come on board to include Lego, Nintendo, Paw Patrol to set up special sections within the facility which will further enhance the appeal of the store.
In its heyday, Toys R Us, was one of the most popular places for persons to get toys. However, with the rise of online shopping and other issues, the brand ran into problems and eventually declared bankruptcy.
