US records second coronavirus death

The United States of America has recorded its second death linked to the wide-spreading coronavirus.

The victim is reportedly from Washington state. The death occurred on Saturday (Feb 29), just hours after the first recorded death from the virus in the United States. Both victims are said to be males, with the first being just over 50 years old and the other in his seventies.

The second death is said to have occurred in a nursing home and is being investigated by public health authorities. More than 50 staff and patients have demonstrated symptoms and will be tested for the virus.

Both men have no recent travel history. Close to 90 persons have tested positive for the virus in the US so far. New York recorded its first case over the weekend.
