Vice President Mike Pence, wife test negative for novel coronavirus

Tests conducted on US Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, have come back negative according to the White House.

US Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen have both tested negative for COVID-19.

The VP and his wife got tested after it was said that an aide to Pence had come down with the virus. They were both tested on Saturday just a day after the news had broken about the aide.

The infected person is said to be doing well and is seemingly recovering. Pence is 60 and his wife 63 which would put them in the bracket of those most susceptible to the disease.

His tests follow on that of President Trump who was tested just over a week ago and those tests also came back negative.

Pence has been leading the task force which has been coordinating a national response to the disease that has claimed close to 200 lives in the United States.
