Woman dies after car she was travelling in plunges into the Rio Cobre

A woman died on Sunday (September 26) after the vehicle she was travelling in plunged into the Rio Cobre.

Dead is twenty-six-year-old Mccadia Hudson of Royal Palm Drive, Old Harbour, St. Catherine.

Reports from the Bog Walk Police are that at 1:30 a.m., Hudson was travelling in a Nissan AD Wagon being driven by a man when he lost control of the vehicle.

It is understood that the driver, a 33-year-old man, tried to swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle.

The driver, who survived the incident, sought help from nearby divers to rescue Hudson from the car.

However, Hudson was pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital.
