Phone maker Xiaomi, today released the phone with the highest megapixel camera, the Mi CC9 Pro Premium.
Built with the world’s first penta-lens camera design, the phone features a 108-megapixel primary sensor joined by a 12-megapixel sensor for portrait shots, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom, 20-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For selfies, the smartphone has a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The phone’s camera provides users with extremely sharp photographs that are rich in detail according to the developer.
Surprisingly, the extra high-resolution sensor was developed by Samsung but has yet to be utilised in any of their handsets. Xiaomi will also incorporate the sensor in their widely sold Mi Note 10 which is set to be launched on Wednesday.
The Mi CC9 Pro Premium has been announced for retail in China but there are no details as to when or if it will be made available for the rest of the world.
